Vintage LeRoux Mini Bottle Shot Glass

A little piece of American cocktail history, given a new life. 🥃♻️ This one-of-a-kind shot glass was handcrafted from an original LeRoux Maraschino Liqueur miniature bottle from LeRoux & Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The original vintage label has been preserved, including its beautiful ornate artwork and markings. A Little History LeRoux & Co. was a Philadelphia producer of cordials and liqueurs with a history dating back to at least the 1930s. Historical records from 1938 already list LeRoux Maraschino among the company's products, and a wonderful piece of advertising from 1944 specifically advertises LeRoux Maraschino at 65 proof—the same proof shown on this bottle's original label. LeRoux continued producing Maraschino for decades; by the 1960s, historical price lists still show the spirit, although its proof had changed to 60 proof. Because the surviving label alone isn't enough to establish the exact production year of this particular bottle, I don't assign it a specific date. Instead, its beautifully aged label is preserved as part of the bottle's own history. From Vintage Bottle to Shot Glass Rather than allowing this old miniature to be forgotten, I carefully cut and transformed the bottle into a functional shot glass. The rim has been hand-ground and finished smooth while preserving the original LeRoux label and character of the glass. This piece began its life as a genuine vintage liquor bottle. The label and glass show natural signs of age, including fading, discoloration, scratches, marks and other imperfections. These aren't flaws—they're part of what makes this particular piece unique. Because the original vintage paper label has been preserved, hand wash gently only. Do not soak or place in the dishwasher. Every bottle tells a story. This one has already been around for decades—and now it gets to start its next chapter. ♻️
